The double cheeseburger was juicy, cheesy perfection, and the fries? Crispy, golden, and dangerously addictive. But what really makes Char-Grill shine is the vibe. It’s not just a place to eat—it’s a whole experience. The outdoor space is wide open, full of greenery and life. It’s the kind of spot where you want to kick back, soak in the atmosphere, and forget you ever heard of boring indoor dining. Flavor, fries, and fresh air? Count me in. Char-Grill is one of the best spots for hot dogs and hamburgers in Raleigh! I grew up eating here and Cook Out, and coming back during my visit to the city brought back so many memories. I had to stop by—and I’m so glad I did! I ordered a chili hot dog (absolutely delicious), crispy seasoned fries, and a Char-Grill hamburger—the meat was flavorful and cooked just right. Everything tasted just as amazing as I remembered. One thing that sets Char-Grill apart is their old-school ordering system: grab a pencil, fill out your order slip, and slide it through the window—no talking needed! That’s the charm of Char-Grill in my opinion. If you’re ever in Raleigh and craving a good burger or hot dog, do yourself a favor and stop by Char-Grill. It’s a true local gem!

Really sweet young man helped me with my order on thurday. I was having a bad day and he took the time to talk to me, not only to make sure everything was okay but to also wish me a better rest of my day. Very sweet worker, and the cooks were amazing at their job, even doing some fun fire tricks for my son. Thank you so much chargrill, for the good food and for brightening me and my son's day

If you are looking for a great burger Char Grill is the place for you. We dropped by for a drive through for lunch and it did not disappoint. Their burgers are actually burgers, not some dried out pressed patties. The burgers actually taste like they are cooked on a charcoal grill. The food was great and service spot on.

Still the Best Burger you can get! Fill out the order card, drop it in the slip & wait for the Best Burger I have had. First visit was in the 80's...if I'm ever within fifty miles of Raleigh I hit one of em.

I have been eating here for years and the hotdogs are my favorite! They melt in your mouth and they still have the red hotdogs, my favorite. I went there on 5/23/24 and the paper was stuck to my hotdogs and I had peel it off piece by piece. I suggest to start using foil…

The smells are incredible. Got a hot dog and a burger for my pup. The only request, critique would be for them to please consider vegan alternatives so I can eat there.

Great food, very clean space, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. A wonderful spot for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank! The order process and great outdoors can't be matched.
